After five successful and wonderful years of crusades and our third pastors conference back in 2008 to promote the spiritual development of Kanchipuram, we enter into a new day where Christ Gate International is expanding its reach to teaching and reaching precious souls to promote Freedom in Christ in a tangible way.
There are 5 of us that lead Christ Gate International (CGI), building a bridge of love and relationship for the church in the US and India.
God has done great miracles in our midst in India within a very wonderful partnership. Although our travelling efforts have been hindered by financial shortfalls since 2008, we expect to join together again and connect more people as the Lord leads, and as the bills get squared away. The 4 pastors in India: Joel, Aruldas, Joshua and Caleb remain fully engaged in full time ministry and are also connected to other partners around the world. The last thing CGI wants to do is be an umbrella that would define or restrict anyone. Our ministry in India is a free network, devoted to equipping, unity and tearing down the ancient strongholds of South India.
The Freedom Mandate
CGI is also fully committed to communicating the reality of the liberation Christ has afforded us in all its manifestations:
Our freedom mandate is simply contained within our mandate-anointing in Christ:
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; he has anointed me to tell the good news to the poor. He has sent me to announce release to the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to set oppressed people free, and to announce the year of the Lord's favor."
- Luke 4: 18-19 ISV
This is a new area for CGI as discussed first in this post about our expansion.
We will be developing it further as the Lord leads. All I can say here for now is that FREEDOM is the word for the day. This is the word the Lord will not let me forget. I have been exploring it scripturally for the last year, and I feel this strong passion to bring people together around it.
Part of the vision is this: Those that love and pursue freedom in the Spirit, and those that pursue freedom in the land are often two very different sets of characters. I foresee that they are to be ONE, once we receive a new visitation from the Lord. Hang out with us while this vision is FULFILLED in your presence and joy sweeps through the land.
"Reflect, O disciple of Jesus! on what has been presented to thy view. The cause of Christ is thy own cause. Without deep criminality thou canst not be indifferent to its success. Rejoice that so delightful a field of missions has been discovered and exhibited. Rouse thyself from the slumbers of spiritual languor. Exert thyself to the utmost of thy power; and let conscience be able to testify, without a doubt, even at the tribunal of Jesus Christ, If missionaries are not speedily sent to preach she glorious Gospel in Bengal, it shall not be owing to me."
